Cycle 88
88.1 Vowel Names
Purpose and Procedure
When we say to read the sounds that letters “usually make,” we are saying to read the vowels’ “short” sounds, in other words /ăăă/, /ĕĕĕ/, /ĭĭĭ/, /ŏŏŏ/, and /ŭŭŭ/.
88.3 Patterns- VCe
Purpose and Procedure
This is the first task in which students read -VCe pattern words in a serif font without seeing them in the specialized orthography first. At this point though, you read each word aloud first before the student reads it.
