Purpose and Procedure

This task continues to teach students to read words that are formed by adding an -er, -ed, -s, or -est ending to base words that end in -y.

In this cycle, students are presented with base words and endings in an equation and they see how the -y changes when the ending is added. They read both the base word and the word after the ending is added.
