## 57.4 Word Reading

#### Purpose and Procedure

The symbols beneath sounds get smaller in this task. They will soon disappear altogether.

## 57.5 Story Reading

#### Purpose and Procedure

This is the first task in which students follow along with their finger during your first fluent reading of the passage. (Until now, they had been following along with their fingers during your second reading of the passage.)

Starting with the new passage in this task, story text has two spaces between words instead of three.
