# Cycle 134

## 134.1 Letter Combinations

#### Purpose and Procedure

This task requires students to read words that contain the *au* or *aw* letter combination without being asked to identify the letter combination or its sound before reading the word.

## 134.4 Patterns

#### Purpose and Procedure

This task reviews five endings that start with consonants (*-ment*, *-ly*, *-ness*, *-ful*, *-less*). In this case, students read each ending without you saying it first.

The second part of the task focuses on adding the suffix *-ment* to the end of -VCe pattern words. This is an auditory exercise that lays the groundwork for reading words like these later.

## 134.7 Word Parts

#### Purpose and Procedure

This task introduces students to the *-ation* ending.
