## 38.1 Sound Review

#### Purpose and Procedure

This task introduces reading continuous sounds the fast way.

## 38.2 The Slow-Fast Game

#### Purpose and Procedure

This task introduces saying words slowly and fast that end with a quick sound and begin with consonant blends that are composed of a continuous sound followed by a quick sound, like /sssp/ in *spot*.

## 38.3 Rhyming

#### Purpose and Procedure

In this task, the onsets are /f/, /t/, and /m/. All words will rhyme with *all*.

## 38.4 Word Reading

#### Purpose and Procedure

This is the first time students read a word that has an initial continuous-quick blend and a final quick sound: *stick*.
