Cycle 149

149.1 Letter Combinations

Purpose and Procedure

This task requires students to read simple words containing the oa or ow letter combination after they identify the letter combination and its sound.

149.7 Word Parts

Purpose and Procedure

This task continues the series that introduces students to three beginnings (pre-, post-, and re-) and their meanings. This time, students touch and read the beginnings after you say them.

Note that in this task, pre- is pronounced /prē/ and re- is pronounced /rē/ (rather than being pronounced with schwa sounds) because they are accented syllables.

The words in this task all begin with post-.
