# Cycle 155

## 155.1 Letter Combinations

This task requires students to read multisyllabic words containing the *wr* letter combination. Students are not asked to identify the letter combination or its sound before reading the word.

## 155.4 Patterns

This is the first time students are asked to read -VCe pattern words with an *-er* suffix.

## 155.7 Word Parts

#### Purpose and Procedure

This task continues the series that introduces students to three endings (*-s*, *-es*, and *-'s*) and their meanings (the first two indicate plurals or verb conjugations; the last indicates possession)*.*

This time, the words in this cycle are all possessive nouns that end with *-'s*. Students learn what an apostrophe is and say the word *apostrophe*.
