This task returns to saying words slowly and fast that have initial and final consonant blends and that begin and end with quick sounds. This time, however, you will not tell students any of the words before saying them slowly, and you will not say them slowly with the students before students try on their own.
This is the first task in which students read a word with consecutive quick sounds: act.
This task introduces reading words with quick sounds when there are no symbols beneath the words.
