146.1 Letter Combinations

This task requires students to read multisyllabic words containing the ph letter combination. Students are not asked to identify the letter combination or its sound before reading the word.

146.4 Patterns -VCe

This is the first time students are asked to read -VCe pattern words ending in -ful and -less suffixes without reading the underlined base word first.

146.6 Story Reading

The New Passage of this task is the first in which the ph letter combination appears in story text (underlined for now). This is also the first task in which the oo letter combination appears without being underlined.
