This task introduces words that have initial and final blends when the words begin and end with stop phonemes.
This task contains the second two-syllable word in the curriculum: cannot (The first was Aliss.) This is the first multisyllable word that contains stop phonemes.
The final part of this task returns to reading words with no symbols beneath the sounds, but, this time, the instructor doesn’t model reading the word before the students attempt it on their own.
